ISS s-band live video downlink support

Today, on October 18th 2025, we are proud to have supported the return of live HAM-TV video from the ESA Columbus module on board the International Space Station during an ARISS school contact in the UK. πŸ“‘ πŸš€πŸ‘¨β€πŸš€

The live video signal was transmitted via S-band and received by several ground stations across Europe, including ours, as part of a network coordinated by ARISS. Alongside amateur radio operators and Goonhilly Earth Station, we provided our feed into a merger system, helping extend video coverage as the ISS passed over Europe.

The live images allow students to see the astronaut in real time while asking their questions – a great example of how radio, space, and education come together to inspire the next generation! πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“ πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“

We’re happy to make a small contribution to these educational activities on the side of our regular work and are grateful to ARISS and the amateur radio community for welcoming our support. We look forward to continuing this collaboration. πŸš€πŸ“‘
